I bought a ATV4 for my parents who have cable, but want to avoid the monthly rental fees. They plan on keeping one premium box and then use ATV's for three other rooms. The ATV's won't be as smooth, but at least they will now have HD on all their TV's w/o $8/box every month.
The Channels App and the HDHomerun Prime takes care of the live TV, but I installed the HBO app so they can watch HBO on the other sets. I started installing the CBS app when I noticed you don't get much unless you pay for the CBS service.
Any suggestions for what other free TV network apps are useful if you have a xfinity cable service?
I don't mind buying some apps for them, but they are trying to dump monthly fees, so I only want to install TV apps that will get them to like using the ATV and have them not feel like they are loosing a lot by not using the xfinity set top box.
