Could you guys recommend utility software for OS X? For example, which anti-virus software is the best. Which disk utility is the best... and anything else you think is needed.

I'm only doing this for our Tech dept. You know those guys, they love to have antivirus on everything.

Thanks for the input.

I bought Norton SystemWorks for my office, and it runs great. It contains Norton AntiVirus, Norton Utilities, and LiveUpdate so you can automatically update the software when patches or virus defs updates become available on Norton servers.

That's what I recommend. And 2.0 crosses the gap between OS 9 and OS X.

I got antivirus (Norton) and systemworks...I've never used them though...Once I installed systemworks and it was being stupid so I removed it so I just have it on cd for emergency...In my case, I just don't see any point to it...

I would not recommend installing Norton under OSX for ANY REASON!

If you want to have it, leave it on its cd. I would use fsck -y first, Disk First Aid second, DiskWarrior from 9 third, and then Norton as a last resort
