I'm not sure exactly what you mean.

Are you referring to geographic areas?

Metropolitan areas?

I thought someone did that once in the Community Discussion (with a 3rd party app)?

I think the OP wants a forum dedicated to computer networking.

We don't seem to get too many posts on that topic, and it's not necessarily a Mac-specific topic, so I'm not sure a separate forum is necessary. Any aspect of it that is Mac-related would usually end up in the relevant hardware or software forum.

maybe a networking forum could be included, however.

rename the OS X Server subforum to OS X Server & Networking.

people versed in server stuff will be the best to help out with that sort of thing, and because there aren't many questions about it, it won't detract too much from any server discussions.

that's my vote. i think that's a good idea. but then again, i think all my ideas are good. :D

I second this.

I'd like a networking forum as well.

Since computer networking is one of the things I'm good at, I enjoy helping people out with it and setting people straight when they think MAC filtering and/or WEP is secure :D But usually, I can't be bothered to sift through all the topics to find the networking ones. I know I'd definitely try to participate more if it was in a separate forum.

Although you'd have to define what networking is I think....trying to share files between 2 computers really isn't a networking issue as much as it's an OS issue. Those should probably remain in the OS forums while things like "My wireless network isn't working" or "how do I set up my router to do X" should be networking

No way. It'll just become full of people having Airport problems. No thank you. I like to read and search without even more clutter.
