suggestion on drive enclosure for old 7200rpm G5 drive.

I just migrated to a imac from a G5. I'm thinking of taking the two G5 drives and putting them into a drive enclosure and make them one virtual drive as a time machine backup. The imac has 1T drive on it, and my old time machine drive is only 300gb and is full now.

Is there an quiet drive enclosure that holds two or three drives for under $50 ? I wasn't thinking of building a RAID tower. and is this silly to do when a new 1T drive is under $150 ?

Any multi bay enclosure is going to have fans.

Any any multi bay enclosure is going to cost over $100.

If you just need backup, a simple USB 2 1TB drive is more than fine.

I would buy 2, one for a TM backup and one for a bootable Superduper backup.
