Hi guys, I need some input on doing something in painting, sculpture, mixed media, etc. which is controversial and pokey in art. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I can do to people or viewers out there? Thanks!

Do you really want to do controversy for the sake of controversy? What ever happened to art uplifting and enlightening? So much of the art which is designed to "make people think" only seems designed to anger one group and make another group snicker.
Sorry but for me art has no spiritual value whatsoever. It's all just a commercial product like the way that people like branded products.
Enlightenment is a thing of the past. Watch any Michael Haneke movie and you will know that all we have left is emotional glaciation and dulled senses.

That is a narrow view of life in my opinion. We can't just exclude things about humanity just because someone says it isn't true anymore. If something may not have value to you, it does not make it a universal feeling.
yes but the way that the art world works in today's universe is all commodity-based. I think that enlightenment is mostly a concept which holds no water as this idea of "humanity" is an artificial construct which simply labels people into whatever category they want to be designated in.
Universal feeling... blah really? the only universal feeling we have left is indifference and blase blase.
Okay, instead of reactions, I need brainstormed ideas not arguments here![]()

you can't beat a bit of peadophillia. You could always add religion into the mix if you really want to go to town.

Sorry. I was doing in way what I was afraid you were doing.
Here are some ideas.
Dubya being crucified with Hillary poking the spear into his side.
A painting of big pile of steaming poo with religious symbols hidden in the cracks.
Bedsheet stains spelling out Allah.
The Virgin Mary walking out of an abortion clinic.
Osama Bin Ladin having sex with a pig.
People dressed up with PeTA logos walking out of McDonalds eating a big mac.
A Jesus and the Children pic with Burger King's "The King" in place of Jesus.
A reproduction of "the last supper" with either "There is no conspiracy" or "This is not art" scrawled on it.
Sorry, I wasn't out to pick a fight or anything. You are sort of right. You can't make money or a living if you are trying to survive on enlightenment, but that does not make it non-existent.
