My early '06 17" iMac CoreDuo has a built it maximum resolution of 1440 x 900 (16:10) pixels. I've tried using a Samsung 22" SyncMaster T220, which has a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 @ 60Hz, but can't get the screen configured without the aspect ratio turning circles into ovals.

Anyone have any recommendations for a monitor (19 -22") that will sync up for under $200?

Hey,
I would jump onto newegg and pick up one of their shell shocker deals. I've seen a load of all different models and sizes for just over 100 bucks. I don't know if you are just looking for a cheap one, but that is what i would do. I think you will just have to check the resolution on them and see if they are compatible. Hope that helped at all.
