Suggestions for storing documents with app icons?

I’d like to if possible find a way to organize app icons and documents in a way for easy accesss. So ideally I would have an app icon to launch the application and right there a spreadsheet with data I need for the application and a word document, pdf, etc. is there any way to do something like this.
