Hi guys,

With the festive season, it appears that a lot of them are putting out discounts for the newly released rmbps. Any suggestions on where to look out for the best deals, apart from the usual suspects (Amazon, best buy, Bhp, Macmall etc ?

I plan on investing in a base 15' rmbp and the least I can find it for now is $1899 using a friend's student card off the appline online store. I am however told that it is available for cheaper at other places and that at certain times, apple gives out a $150 gift card to go with the student discount.

I will very much appreciate links to any places you suggest.

And thank you very much :)

If you live near a MicroCenter, you can pick up the base model for $1799 + tax.

Be advised, though, that the offer is only available in store.

Hey Buddy!

It appears that in some states (stores in these states), there is no tax! Can this be possible ? I just don't want to end up having my bubble burst at a later point in time.

Cheers!

Some states don't have any online sales tax, but go to an actual store and you still pay tax.
