Ok, should i get a refurb. 15" 2.4 ghz 2 gb ram and upgrade to 4 gb for $1349+tax

or a new 15" 2.53 4gb ram with a video card not as good. for $1599+tax.

You've got to give us a little more info than that. What do you do with your comp? Travel? Power-user? Gaming? What is important to you?

I would say if you need the video card for visual/games, I'd get the refurb. If you travel more, probably the newer, although you could buy a second battery I guess...

im nit going 2 use it 4 travel, just mainly house. im replacing a old sony vaio

I would definitely go refurb, both for the price and dedicated graphics....
You will not notice the 130mhz difference.
