I have read the posts on this issue, and looked at several of the Download Manager websites, but I still don't know which, if any, will suit my needs.

I am not fussed about any claims of accelerated speeds.

What I want is a Download Manager for Firefox which will:
1. Recognise my Fileserve Premium Account (or, later, Rapidshare or Megaupload)
2. Cater for 30 parallel downloads at any one time (I have adjusted the Firefox settings to allow more, but any more tends to thin out the available bandwidth too much, leading to freezing or premature finishes)
3. Allow me to queue up another, say, 60 downloads to automatically start in order as each of the original 30 finishes
4. Allow pausing and resumption
5. Leave me with a little bit of bandwith to simultaneously potter around the Web

It would be nice if it was free, but not crucial.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

There are addons for Firefox which cater to needs like yours. The only one I've tried is DownThemAll!, and it works well enough.
