My wife was put on a sulfur based antibiotic ( Microbain) and she developed a very large burn with blisters under her watch. Her doctor said she has seen numerous people with Apple Watches and other smart watches react this way. Sulfur based meds make your skin ultra sensitive to UV and infrared light. So just keep it in mind. She can’t wear her watch now for 2 weeks.

She can disable heart rate monitoring. I believe that turns off the light?
