So my MBP's been overheating ridiculously recently. I've used smc fan control in the past and it's worked well.

So I installed it again today and my MBP is reading 136 F and I'm only running safari, itunes, aim, and entourage... frickin ridiculous! So i go to smc fan control and set it to overheat, with the min rpm @ 6000. But it doens't do anything. The fan is still at 2000 rpm..

How do I solv ethis?

choose the higher rpm option and restart the program. if that doesn't do it try to reboot.

I had the same problem and one or the combo of the 2 fixed it for me.
