OK so i installed summer board 2.11 from installer.app. it says it is active, however it messed my menu up.
The dock moves to the top of the screen, over the top of the safari/youtube etc icons, plus the themes dont seem to change!!

anyone any ideas. i have tried uninstalling it a few times, but to no avail!

i have an ipod touch 1.1.1

Get it from here. You have to manually install it.

I've got the same trouble, dock up and no theme applyed, i removed summerboard to fix this sticky dock on top of screen. It was too impossible to access to the Music/Pictures/video either.

I will try manually as precognized

No way, Summerboard launch, the window stay empty and crash after few second. I follow step by step the Install file of the new package. Huum huum ...

Can't get the manual install to work for me, either. Click on "SMBPrefs" on the dock; it hangs, and then crashes.

mine is wierd my menu bar is at the bottom (where it should be) but the smb preffs button crashes when i clik it
wats wrong
and if i want to remove summerboard do i have to fully restore my touch ???

Inside the package, there an INSTALL file which contain the following :

Code:

NOTE: You do not need to patch the SpringBoard if you are using SummerBoard.
****************************************************************************

!!! THE TWO STEPS BELOW ARE NOT REQUIRED TO INSTALL SUMMERBOARD !!!

If you want to undo the previous SpringBoard patch, move:
/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/SpringBoard.original -> /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/SpringBoard

Then run:
chmod +x /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/SpringBoard
