Sun comes up with technique to seed multi processors by 100 times

This is some slick stuff - and with Apples multi processor track record I wonder if they'll ever go this way.

The only thing I see as an issue is that if IBM make multi core chips down the road, this technique wouldn't be as useful on desktop machines, just larger servers.

Well yes I suppose it's pretty cool but will it really help Apple all that much? I remember reading somewhere that the new PowerMacs had 90% dual processor efficiency. Is it worth leasing this technology to squeeze an extra 200 Mhz out of the processors?
