I have this ongoing problem and REALLY want to solve it.
I have the following email accounts ( in order of importance ):
-MAC
-AOL
Second AOL email
-HOME Broadband
Each has their own password, which I have set up in Mail, and for years it has worked with no problems - I start Mail and instantly have access to all my accounts without having to enter passwords.
But about a year ago for no apparent reason, when I started Mail it would ask me to enter the password for my Second AOL email account. I tried re-entering all my details in Mail preferences, but no luck
Now, again for know reason, it is asking me for my HOME Broadband password.

So in a nutshell every time I start Mail, I have to manually enter passwords for two of my four accounts - really annoying.
I am running the latest Snow Leopard, and have never ( knowingly ) used or set up Keychains,
Any help would be most appreciated!
