I read that for the first time the NFL will stream the super bowl for free, but I can't find any information on whether this will be available outside the US.

http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/46/live/sunday

Does anyone know if I'll be able to watch it and if I might need to get a proxy server in the US?

Thanks

most european countries play it live on their nationalized stations

country is?

I'm in Sweden and yes I know that some Swedish channel will probably broadcast, but I want to watch the US stream thus my question ;)

It is unlikely that you will be able to access the US free stream (without a US proxy) as foreign broadcasters normally have to pay (a lot of money) to get the broadcast rights, so they would be not so pleased if people can access the live broadcast by other means.

Check out @Greg_Punzo on Twitter. Guy hosts streams of every NFL game every week, HD and SD.

Guy's my savior. I don't own a TV or want to at this point.

I use that website and the quality makes even "SD" a stretch.

NBC's stream will most likely be restricted to US.

Have you tried watching NBC Sunday Night Football through their site in Sweden? If you were able to it would probably answer your question.

I think I'll miss the BBC broadcast of it - no commercials!

On the link you posted yourself. If you click get the game pass and scroll down you can get the SUPER BOWL ONLY pass, wich is shown as 7.99EUR for me.

Because it's shown in euros I think it is going to be available for EU too!
I certainly hope so...

Edit look at that:
*Certain restrictions apply. NFL Game Pass is only available to users located outside the United States, Mexico, Bermuda, Antigua, the Bahamas, and any U.S. territories, possessions and commonwealths.
