So I'm in the process of cleaning up my computer and do a full image backup of my OSX partition to an external hard drive via super duper.
Unfortunately since I need that external drive to also run with windows machines, it is not formatted to be bootable using the option key.
When I turn in my current laptop for some repairs, we get loaner MBPs at school (part of our contract). When I get the loaner I want to image it with the image on my external hdd that I copied earlier. How exactly would I go about doing this? Basically I want to replace the OSX partition completely with my 'old' image.
Now another question I have with this is that my current MBP has about 200 gigs in an OSX partition, about 50 gigs in a Windows partition. Super Duper can only back up the OSX partition which is fine, I can image the windows partition using windows and store it either on my NTFS or Mac partition on the external (using macdrive in windows). What is the easiest way to load both those partitions onto the loaner computer - it may be not split the same way (ie. 200 osx, 50 windows), probably a reformat (quick one) is needed.
