I've just cloned my HD and tested it, works great. I've downloaded and read through the 50 page manual.

The manual recommends that I boot from the clone and use it as what they call a 'Sandbox'.

However I didn't really like the sound of how it works. At the moment I tried the Smart Update to update the clone and that worked well just took five minutes and it is again a complete replica of my full system

However the manual suggests *very strongly* that once the Clone is made that it is used instead of the internal HD in order to isolate it. But it really bugs me that if I do that my external drive will be running all the time.

My question to users of Super Duper is... Do you use Smart Update to keep your clone up to date OR do you use your clone as a boot volume to keep your HD isolated?
