With the front facing camera you can literally tap the shutter Button and photos will take as fast as you can click. Front facing only, check it out.

Yeah, it takes pretty fast photos too.

Prob has something to do with the lower res..... just a guess.

I agree that the front camera is lightning fast but the back camera is pretty darn fast too. A lot faster than the 3GS. It must be because it's a bigger lens so it can get light in quicker.

Yea it's prob because it's a .3 mp camera lol.

One of my biggest complaints about the 3Gs was how the camera was just a little to slow opening/taking photos to be good for anything more than taking portraits. I still wouldn't mind if the app opened faster, but it's still pretty damn fast.

Under iOS4, the camera on the 3G is super super fast.
