I would like to apologize in advance for my post, as I realize that all of the information that I need is somewhere in this forum. After searching posts for the last two days I have not been able to get the straight answers I need, mostly because I'm a little confused. I'm simply looking to record vocals on my iMac using Garageband. I have a friend who does this and advised me to get a USB condensor mic and use Phantom Power. Along with this I realize I will need headphones, a pop screen and a mic stand. Is there anything else I'm going to need for a basic vocal recording set up?

Extremely basic questions I have:
-Does the microphone plug into the Phantom Power and the Phantom Power into an outlet and my computer?
-Where exactly does the Phantom Power/microphone plug into on my iMac?
-Where exactly do the headphones plug into?

And are there any things I need to know?
Once again, I apologize for my post. I realize it's probably pretty annoying for some of you, but I really do appreciate any help that anyone gives me.
