HI !!!!

I´m new, hello to everyone !!!

Hope someone can help me PLEASE PLEASE !!!! I´m getting super nervous I don´t know what to do and couldn´t find ANYTHING related.

My macbook pro early 2011 is making a dial up noise ! it´s super weird, it starts then stops pff it´s super weird.

This is what is happening.

Please PLEASE some mercy !!! any help?

Knowing more about the machine would help. 13"/15"17"? Does it boot up after all this noise? Still have original hard drive and optical/CD drive?

Based on the lack of stutter I don't think it's an optical drive spin sound. My guess would be mechanical failure of your HDD.

It is quite easy to replace/upgrade unibody MBPs to an SSD.

If it is mechanical drive failure, and you have data on the current HD that isn't backed up that you need to recover, you will probably need to take it to some pros.

Hi Brian !!!! thank you so much for the response !!!!

My Macbook is 15¨, boots perfectly, works without an issue and I change the original hardrive to a SSD.

I´m really lost I don´t have a clue of what can it be. The sound appears suddenly without a cause and it´s SO annoying, it is like a dial up it´s unbelievable.

I´ve opened and cleared the ram, the fans etc but the sound still appears.

It´s really strange because there is not even 1 macbook that I´ve seen that has this issue. I´ve checked youtube hardly and other forums too.

I need some Macbook god help I guess ahhahaha ANy suggestion?

Is someone pranking you? Does it get louder/softer if you adjust the volume?

I've never seen a Mac play a sound file while it's starting up (progress bar) so, if the sound is indeed coming from inside the MBP, it may be some sort of coil whine. I also hear something that sounds like a DVD drive spinning up.

Maaaan I´ve tried looking for coil whine but makes no sense, it has nothing to do with the cd/dvd for sure. Sound comes from inside, it´s louder hinge (sorry for my english) in the part that connects the display to the body.

I just can´t believe it it is so SO weird I don´t know where to search a similar issue, I´m getting really crazy with this
