I have an i-mac with superdrive. I am able to record dvds but I am having trouble playing them back on my Toshiba 2109 dvd player. I have tried using dvd-r stock from Maxell and Fuji with no success. Any ideas for compatible blank dvd stock? Thanks.

Update

Thanks, "Shaolin" for the update. Not good news, but now I know what I should get when I go to a new dvd player.

You're welcome.

You're not the only one. My old Sony doesn't play DVD-R's either.

So far, from what I've researched, Apex gives you great features but too bad the quality is lacking in their products. I need to find me a dvd player that plays different types of formats and also region free.
