The Iron Throne
I've tried to rip a couple of CDs in the last day or so and the SuperDrive on my MacBook has been acting like crap. Sometimes it just grinds and grinds loudly for the longest time. I can't eject the disc because it's in the middle of the rip. It took me over an hour to rip Frank by Amy Winehouse (in case anyone is curious) yesterday. Is over an hour normal? Is anyone else getting the grinding, loud rumbling and occasional unresponsiveness with their SuperDrive? It's pretty aggravating. I even had some trouble with my Vista disc.

I really don't want to have to exchange this laptop as I've finally gotten everything re-installed and bootcamped up after swapping from a MBP last week. I don't want to have to spend another 3 hours doing this. Also, I finally got my Best Skins Ever in the mail today, and I'm hesitant to apply it if my drive is messed.

Any advice? Is this normal behavior at times, or something I should bring it?

Thanks in advance for the help.
