Before I ask, remember the old adage: "There are no stupid questions, only stupid people." ;)

So: Did I just nuke my external usb-enclosed superdrive by cancelling a burn shortly before Disk Utility crashed on me? I had just begun the burning process, realized I was burning the wrong ISO, and clicked 'Cancel' automatically. I waited, but Disk Utility was unresponsive, and I had to force kill it. Now I can't eject the disc or even be get the drive to be recognized by a computer.

I've tried ejecting through iTunes, diskutil, drutil...rebooted and held the eject button...no dice anywhere.

Anyone with any thoughts?

The disc ejected randomly without warning. I'll go sit in the corner now. ;)
