Superdrive not working in new 2016 macbook pro.

I plugged in my superdrive to my aukey usb c to usb a hub and it doesnt seem to power on. However it powers on with windows 10 under bootcamp. Any solutions. Did NVRAM and SMC Reset and it didnt help.

probably the hardware limitation. If you want to use superdrive, you should use apple's USB-C adapter or CalDigit's USB-C dock (you need to install their superdrive support driver), that's the only two ways to get superdrive supported in 2016 Macbook pro. see here
