My mbp which is less than 6 months old superdrive is not working. Im bringing it to the apple store on friday what are the chances that they will just give me another one? Im college student and dont have time to send it out or anything. I also have a 1 tb hdd I put in myself will they just swap out the drives for me?

It's more likely that they'd replace the drive, rather than the whole MBP, but you never know until you try.

They will likely replace the SuperDrive. They don't really care do you have time or not, you can always keep using it and repair it later on when you have more time.

Trust me, They will replace the drive. I had my macbook pro 6months now and my motherboard went, They kept it a few days and replaced the motherboard. And my macbook pro still looks new.
