Superdrive problems

Why will my stupiddrive work with some dvd.s like movies and then will spit out my program dvd.s. I wanted to re install SL and it wouldn't work.
i also tried some other program disks, nothing..

any thoughts?

I bought a can of compressed air and a DVD cleaner by Philips.

I tried the air first.. nada,

It tried the dvd cleaner disk first time it spit it out. tried again and it worked, cleaned the laser, all set everything works in it now.. yeah!

I had this problem on my 2007 MBP, first time it happened I cleaned the laser as lukester said, second time I did the same, third time I did the same but it didn't fix it. I think it must be a dodgy laser, theres no way I should have to clean the laser once a month.

I have a external dvd burner that I use a lot to save on the internal one.
They are too finicky is right.
I will see how long this cleaning lasts.
