Hello everyone!
Upon upgrading to Lion this past week, I noticed that my superdrive no longer accepts discs. Discs can be inserted about halfway into the slot, and no further. It's as of there is already a disc in the drive, when I know there is not. The drive appears under Disk Utility and under System Profiler, so I know it must be a hardware problem.
However, I was wondering if anyone had switched out their optical drive bay with the SSD adapter offered on OWC's website, and if there was any noticeable improvements in system performance/extra drain on battery life/etc.
I'm just curious to hear peoples' experiences before I decide whether to put in another superdrive or the SSD.
Thanks!
