I had two powerbook 12in 867mhz. One of them had a superdrive option in it and the other had just a regular combo drive. The one with the superdrive died, so I decided to swap the optical drives since I still burn dvds on the road. Now I installed the drive and made sure that all the connections where tight and connected (twice in fact). But it doesn't want to read any disc (cds and dvds).

I have tried reseting pram, starting it up with a mac os tiger with the "c" key down and it won't read the disc. It will suck in the disc and spin properly, and when I hit the eject key it ejects. (but not until I hit the eject key.)

Any ideas how I can make it work?

Thanks
