Hi,
A week ago or so, there was an update from Apple for the Super Drive. Now every morning when I turn on my computer I get an icon in the tray bouncing up and down like a third graders hand telling me there's no update available. How do I stop this??

Thanks.

Frank

Did you actually install the update? Software Download just puts the file in Applications/Utilities. From there you need to run the Superdrive update file. Try that then reboot.

I ran the upgrade and it didn't change.

Still received the message when I reboot that tells me ""No devices were found that require this firmware update.""

Yeah, there is an error with the update.

Just go to

System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items, and remove the SuperDrive file using the minus button.

I had this too, thanks for that it's been bugging me.

Thanks. It reminded me of so many things that would pop up and be of no worth when I used to use Windows.
