I have a training CD for Adobe After Effects, and I have a big problem. Despite the fact that the CD is formatted for both Windows and Mac, I can't get either OS to read the CD on my MBP 15. The drive ramps up and down, and then spits the CD out after 10 seconds or so.

I thought maybe it was faulty or something, so I tried it on my Dell desktop and it worked fine. I have After Effects on there, but using it will run much smoother on my laptop.

Any idea why my supposed "super drive" won't read a CD that my Dell will?

Is it dirty? Superdrives are very smart when it comes to this. If it is dirty, it will spit it out.

I wiped it down good and tried it again... a few times. It's scratched a little, but I don't think I own a CD that ISN'T scratched a little. This is the first time I've had problems with it.
