Superdrives and Cheaper Solutions

Is this the current superdrive coming in Macbooks and Apples External Optical Drives?

If so, couldn't I just buy that for $35, and buy this for $15, and have my very own external Superdrive?

Possibly. And yes, you can. Or you could go get an Asus or Samsung external drive for $30. What's your point?

I brought an external samsung dvd writer for £30 from the UK a couple of years ago and it works in both my apple laptops with zero issues.
