Trying to make a book cover in word 2008 on a macbook.
I have a photo I want to use but want to write the authors name and book title on it. I have been able to make a rather small (in pixels) image using a CD jewel case label software package.
Any tips? I want 1000 pixel x 1600 pixles high.

And I am as dumb as

Thanks Pete

superimpose words on photo

Hi brop52,
You put me on the right road. I solved it by first re-saving the image as a PDF as I could not insert text into it as a jpg. In the PDF format I inserted authors name in one box and the book title in another.
I saved and then re-saved as .jpeg.
Whilst it is not as perfect as I would like, I do now have a book cover of correct dimension and looking as I wanted it.
Just in case it does make it, look out for an author called Vincent Noble. But don't hold your breath.
