This is an extremely strange question, I know! Just about 15 minutes ago, my macbook has decided to change the word 'what' to "supmyninja" whenever and wherever I type it... Why on earth is it doing this?! Any ideas?

The only different thing I've done on my laptop this morning is that I used a proxy site to access the US Abercrombie and Fitch website (as it automatically redirects to the UK site). That wouldn't have caused this would it?

It looks instinctively like some sort of virus, but I'm hoping it's not!

Many thanks.

Sounds like an auto correct prank to me.

What app does it occur in?

That's what I thought originally as it was appearing in iMessages, but now it's appearing in safari as well.

My autocorrect has been extremely sensitive ever since I downloaded the last iOS update, but that was over a month ago and this is just starting to happen today.

Any ideas how to fix it?

iMessage go to the edit Menu>Spelling and Grammar>Show Spelling and Grammar

Have a check in System Preferences > Keyboard > Select Text Tab and check there isn't a replacement for "what".

perfect, fixed! Thank you!

Why on earth it decided to replace 'what' with a phrase I have never once used in my life, I have no idea..

Glad to be of help, maybe a practical joker got the hands on your Macbook. This is something some people I know would do.
