Morning,
I've recently acquired a PowerMac G4 of the MDD variety -- all's well and good with no apparent problems thus far.
Well I say this, apart from one obvious problem, and that's the rear handle has a massive "groove" in it and is somewhat loose in comparison to the front one. So much so in fact that it feels a little dicey to be carrying the unit with it.
I know I'll not be moving the machine around a great deal one it's in situ, but it's more of an aesthetics issue, ie. I know the problem exists!
Could anybody out there recommend a supplier of parts [new or second hand] for said machine; preferably UK based and not Apple for obvious cost reasons?!
I'm watching a couple of cases on eBay at the moment, but none of them are classed as MDD. Other than the front panel layout, are the cases pretty much the same?
One in particular I'm watching is a Sawtooth case, but the handles on this unit appear to have horizontal lines across them, where as the MDD is purely translucent with nothing to detract! Picky? Yup, I know!!
Thanks in advance...
