Last week I went to a nearby Apple Store to check out the lines/situation/supply. I got there a little after 8AM and there were about 15 people ahead of me. Most of us left when they said "no at&t" iPads.
I tried the same store today but got there just before 9AM and the store was almost dead but there were about 5 people in the process of buying iPads. While I was chatting with a rep another rep walked by with about 5 iPads and an MBA in her hand. I didn't buy anything as AGAIN, per the rep, there were NO at&t iPads delivered. Weird actually. In fact, I think he said they basically only got wifi versions.
I plan to check again tomorrow (place is super close) as I am not sure if I still have one being held for me since I got cash back for my Apple gift card.
Just thought I would share as this is not a huge store and when I called the big store around here they were in fact sold out by 9:30.
