(I am on a Windows)

As Apple now released the Swift programing language guide as an iBook, I wonder if these manuals are available as an iBook (which is basically an EPUB) as well? A quick Google search did not reveal them. I might want to delve a little into one or two of these, and doing so in EPUB (on a mobile device) would make my life so much easier than having to deal with a rigid PDF (on the desktop).

Thanks

You can download a reader to your computer. I found several of them listed on my local library website. You can check their I'm sure you can find one.

Not sure where you want to read it. On a iOS device you can use OverDrive app.

OK, I am not a native speaker but is my English really so bad?!

I repeat the subject line, just in case:

support.apple.com/manuals - these in EPUB or iBooks format?

How about a second interpretation? I guess I did not say at all that what I need is the Swift programming language guide.

Thanks

Any book downloaded from the iBookstore is in the EPUB format.

So yes, if someone's willing to post up the EPUB of the Swift guide, you can read it anywhere.

If they were available as ePub or iBook, you should find them on the page you linked, shouldn't you? If they are nowhere to be found, the obvious conclusion is, that they are not published as ePub or iBook.

Or am I missing your point?

Anything on support.apple.com/manuals is PDF. Anything on iBookstore is epub - usually iBook formatted books have DRM but the Apple manuals don't. The Swift manual is available only on the iBookstore or as HTML, not at support.apple.com/manuals - so reposting the subject line doesn't help you.

If you want a copy of the epub send me a private message with your email address and I can send it to you.

You won't be able to do anything practical with it without Xcode 6, which is Mac only.

I am still not looking for the Swift guide, why did you decide I need that? :(

Finally, someone's getting it! I am not on a Mac, so I don't have iBook Store. Yes, I'd rather read those PDF documentations from support.apple.com/manuals in EPUB?

Simple question: are the same guides available in EPUB in the iBook Store?

Only a couple of them are in the iBook store, like the Swift guides, iOS Human Interface Guidelines and some iPhone and iPad user guides, but that's about it.

You can try converting the PDFs to ePub with Calibre, but the results are mostly useless..

Update: Now quite a few of them are available as an iBook/EPUB, such as the iOS 8 guide which I might want to read on my dedicated EPUB compatible e-reader.

If I have a Windows PC and the dedicated EPUB compatible e-reader (and an iPhone), basically I am out of luck to read it on the dedicated EPUB compatible e-reader, without the help of Mac hardware?
