So I recently got the Surface 3 for $538 USD for the 4GB model w/ 128 GB SSD. I saw the Surface Pro 3 i3/128gb model for $500 and decided to purchase it, but wait until I could do my research thoroughly since the deal is really hot right now and I didn't want to miss out on it if I choose to keep it.
So what I use my Surface 3 for: Office w/ note taking, Youtube, Spotify, Netflix, Web Browsing, want to play basic steam games at some point, and watching sporting events. I need to have ad block, which is why an iPad is not cutting it w/ the Surface 3. I also have to format my papers on my Windows 10 device because it messes up on my MBP.
The Surface Pro 3 intrigues me. It has the I3, which is better for games, not significantly more expensive either. The fan idea scares me now that I read about it. I also don't want a device to overheat. Battery life being better would be nice too. I like the idea of a QHD display on the Surface Pro 3, or just a higher quality resolution. A bigger screen is nicer too. Don't know the major difference between Windows 10 and Windows Pro 10. Also think the Surface Pro 4 keyboard w/ the fingerprint scanner is a nifty idea. Thoughts? It would come down to about a $120 difference probably.
