Hi all
I recently purchased an used G4 on Ebay running OS 9.2.2 for $250. The machine has no unusual software, the basic stuff. I can't figure out how to make the "scrapbook" folder work other than viewing the generic pictures that are in it.. No manuels or software came with the machine. I did purchase a software package on ebay that included OS x. The darn thing wouldn't load tho. Some of the games that were included in the package loaded just fine and work ok. Another program that loaded is Appleworks 6 that has numerous programs on it including word processing and spread sheet, after initialing freezing the machine and a reinstall they seem to work ok.
After much trial and error I managed to get the machine on the web (connected via ethernet to a modem to a DSL provider) and was surfing just fine when a noticed flashed telling me something needed my attention and that was that. Now when I try to connect a box appears telling me "the domain namer servers are not responding".
I'd appreciate any and all advice.
Thanks
TomR
