How is this product going to be used. Travel? Something for home?

I wouldn't rely on it for surge protection since they dont offer any specifications about it at all. Most charging hubs offer surge protections that is equally as vague. I question whether the outlet is surge protected or not at all...

However get any hub, including that one but find a high quality surge protector to accompany it. If its for travel you can likely find a single outlet surge protector. However don't buy a junk surge protector, look for VPR 330v or 400v. That is the Voltage Protection Rating. Get one that has status indicators since it will likely use metal oxide varistors to limit voltage and they degrade with use especially if power spikes and surges.

I would recommend something like this. But obviously a US plug doesn't help you much. But I've seen multiple reviews on that tripp-lite spike cube and it nearly always keeps the voltage below 330v but even 1 volt high makes it get a 400v rating.
