ny somewhere
when i opened launchpad a few weeks ago, i found a bunch of google apps there that i'd never installed (i DO run chrome sometimes). and tonite, i found a new app "google search".

suspicious, i googled this (sort-of like using a bad detective to find another bad detective)... but found the info below (so am sharing it in case it helps anyone):

http://www.cio.com/article/2993065/...wanted-google-chrome-apps-from-launchpad.html

google (and in fact, NO one) should install apps on my mac unless they ask first (at least). thought i had something unsavory on my mac...and was trying to figure out how it got there.

so...the apps are legit, just installed without my permission (or authentication). FU, google...

Seen this on my Mac, and I end up throwing them to a folder, and done.
I do run chrome a few times, too.
