Survived drop without a single scratch but...

Friend stood behind a door with single purpose to scare me. She is well aware of that I always bring my phone to the bathroom if I tend to spend some time there but I'm sure she didn't think of it this time. And yes, I got scared and dropped my iPhone 6 and it landed on the display. The floor in my apartment is hard and the fall was like 1.5 meter. But as far as I can see the phone survived without a single scratch.

First, am I lucky since I read so many threads that naked iPhones are easy to break?
Secondly, let's say that the phone would have got defect in any way. Let's say a huge scratch on the back. How would you have solved the situation?

I would've solve the situation by using 'white out' to hide the scratch.

Perhaps it's time to do that. White devices tend to discolor after too long sessions.
