I found a special bug in my iPhone. I would like to know if your iPhone behave the same.

If I'm establishing a data connection in a 3G area I'm getting good speed values of around 1500 kbps, if then I'm browsing the web in a 2G area with GPRS and then move back again to a 3G area from there I will connect at a maximum speed of 200 kbps, until I restart the iPhone or turn off/on the Airplane Mode or 3G switch.

I found another iPhone owner that has the same problem as me so I suspect that the problem is more pervasive, although little known.

To test yourself these are the steps:

connect to the internet (email or web) in a GPRS only area
move to a 3G area
connect to the internet via 3G and test your speed with (for example) http://www.testmyiphone.com

....and post here your findings!

It seems that the problem affects also EDGE networks in addition to GPRS networks.

So, please test it also if you have a 3G -> EDGE -> 3G scenario.
And post here also if you successfully passed the test. Thank you
