SVG image preview in finder?

I've looked all over and can't seem to find this but I suspect it's possible since Safari can render svg images just fine, same with Quicklook... I just can't see them in CoverFlow or as icon previews which would make finding the right one a lot easier.

Is this possible somehow?

Did you find a cure?

I was also surprised it does not work (OS X 10.5.8).
