Need some speakers for my dorm room i live in a very small single, but do love to play music fairly loudly i also am one who enjoys good bass as do my friends

I have read various reviews of these two speakers systems but just cant decide which one is better suited

Which system is going to get my room both loud but more importantly bumping but not too much so that i feel uncomfortable if you know what i mean

btw I dont mind being that kid whose music is always too loud i know those comments will be coming

what exactly is the difference between a mid-woofer and subwoofer

By no means am I the king.

The difference in the M12's subwoofer and the M10's midwoofer go as follows:
The midwoofer will produce less vibration, but it will produce the general sound that you would hear out of a subwoofer. It is very directional meaning that it should be placed directly in front of you at ear level. The subwoofer will produce the vibrations as well as the noise with some expected distortion, however it can be placed on the floor. The M10 is more geared for music, the M12 is similar to a standard 2.1 set-up.

Might I suggest this thread.

thanks for all the help in your various posts about these speakers

I cant say which one i want for sure as i feel like the M12 suits me slightly better but the M10 is just a beautiful piece of machinery
