Swap 27 TBD stand with 24 CD stand

I think my TBD sits a little to high, so i want to swap the stand. But I don't want to buy an aftermarket (beacuse they are all ugly) and i dont want to mount it to a wall.

So heres my question, does anyone know if the stand from a Cinema display 24 will fit on a 27 Thunderbolt display

If anyone has a 24" Cinema display, can you please measure the width at the top of the foot? Where the screws are.
