I have just purchased a cube (yay) that was upgraded with the MCE multidrive. I would like to exchange the drive with the combo drive in my TiBook. This may seem like a weird thing to do but I'm planning to use the cube as a web server and the multidrive would be useful in my PB. In the unlikely event that someone has done this previously I figured I would ask here before cracking the case. The guy I bought the cube from said the drive is the same one that MCE provide as a PB upgrade so in theory it should be ok, mounting issues notwithstanding. I guess there could be firmware issues and the MCE site lists two different product codes for the different upgrades (maybe just mounting kit differences) but it's got to be worth attempting. Any suggestions? Care to place bets?
