Swap iPad, need box and all contents?

I have a dead pixel on my month old iPad. I have set up a genius bar appointment but I am curious if I need to bring the box and all the original contents in order to swap? I'm house sitting and my box is at home, so just curious if I need to make the drive home before the appointment tomorrow...
