I had a 32gb black delivered on friday from apple love it but wish i had bought the white can i send it back and change it for a white. I have been using it since yesterday so not in sealed box

You can try to, as Apple has a 14 day return window. They may make you pay a restocking fee since you are returning it not because of a manufacturing defect but instead because YOU made the wronge decision.

Yes, you can I had the exact same problem when I asked them they said no restocking fee.

Then props to Apple for allowing this. If it was my decision I would say you would owe me a 10% restocking fee. Luckily for you I am not Apple.
