In July 2011 I bought an early 2011-i7 13 inch MacBook Pro directly from Apple with 8 (2x4) gigs of RAM. I just acquired a late 2011-i7 MacBook Pro 15' with 4 gigabytes of RAM (2x2). I want to give the 13 inch MacBook Pro to a friend, but I want my 15 inch MacBook Pro to have 8 gigs of RAM. Is it possible to swap the RAM in these two machines? Move the 8 gigs from the 13 inch early 2011 to the 15 inch late 2011, and move the 4 gigs of RAM from the 15 inch late 2011 to the 13 inch early 2011?
